"Serve them, love them, let God save them"

"Knowing what NOT to do is just as important as knowing what to do."

If you’re anything like me, you’re optimistic to the point where you believe you can truly change people. With your loving heart, you see an opportunity to impact someone’s life & you commit to it. Yet, these moments have lead to frsutration & disappointment & the lesson I am repeatedly learning is, you’re not called to save people, you’re not called to change people, you are called to serve and love people.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

Lesson to remember:

  • Serve and love people for God’s sake, not yours.

  • Meet people where they are, and genuinely love & serve them.

  • Do it consistently.

Many aspects of leadership, like serving, is counter intuitive. Leading looks like working for people, instead of what the ego wants you to believe, people working for you. A leader serves people’s needs for the greater good. A leader serves with no strings attached. The wisdom of leadership is learned in serving and loving others. We realized how little we are in control, yet simultaneously how much power & responsibility we have in this life.

Do your part today, “Serve them, love them & let God save them”
